Notes

as constant as electrocutions
throughout the back:
as in orgasm,
as in fear or fright.

as often as a hummingbird’s heartbeat
(a thousand and 260 times
each minute),
multiply that by day.

as the rapid fall of raindrops
racing after the other
or the repetition of all elemental cycles,

with all the shades of my core.”

In times the phrase is absent
from my lips,

my love,

from my lips alone.
